Before you book
The experience changes as the light disappears.
A Bio Bay tour is not one continuous visual effect. The evening normally has a progression: daylight or sunset, darker water, your eyes adjusting, and then the flashes becoming easier to notice as movement disturbs the bay.
Captain Luis’s signature option is intentionally longer than a quick in-and-out group tour: four private hours for up to six guests. The point is to have time for the sunset-to-night transition rather than treating the Bio Bay like a five-minute photo stop.
Think private evening on the water first, natural bioluminescence second. That mindset is much closer to the real experience than expecting a neon-blue attraction.
